History Writing Center

writing center

The History Writing Center (HWC) offers UCLA undergraduates currently enrolled in History courses free, one-on-one feedback and support on their writing. The HWC is staffed by Peer Learning Facilitators (PLFs), graduate students who understand the challenges of writing for History classes at UCLA. PLFs are trained to help at any stage in the writing process, with writing assignments from any History class. They offer both in-person and remote sessions tailored to the concerns of each writer.

We strongly recommend that you schedule an appointment in advance, but we also have drop-in appointments. For current hours and location, click here and scroll to “History Writing Center.” You can also view our video tutorial for information. Please note that we do not look at take home exams, unless we have the instructor’s specific consent.
