Kevin Terraciano Wins Prestigious Gold Shield Prize
Selected as winner of the UCLA Gold Shield Faculty Prize
Professor Kevin Terraciano
, has been selected to be this year's winner of the UCLA Gold Shield Faculty Prize. The Gold Shield aims to "reward UCLA faculty members who have demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment in undergraduate teaching and in research or creative activity, together with evidence of public service within the University." In particular, the Prize recognizes "high achieving faculty in the middle years of their academic careers." It carries a $30,000 cash prize. Kevin Terraciano is an outstanding teacher, an important and innovative historian, and a dedicated public servant of this University.
