Congratulations to Deirdre Cooper Owens for the publication of her book, Medical Bondage: Race,  Gender, and the Origins of American Gynecology, by University of Georgia Press.  An assistant professor iin the History Department of Queens College, Dr. Cooper Owens has been a very in-demand speaker on this timely topic since the book was released in Novermber 2017.
