The Department of History at the University of California Los Angeles invites you to attend Futures of History, a conference aimed at empowering the next generation of historians. Through discussions with innovative leaders, demonstrations from a wide variety of professionals, and displays of new ways of conceptualizing the discipline, this event promises a bold new approach to the field of history and its many professions.
This gathering of students, faculty, alumni, and colleagues outside the academy is part of the American Historical Association’s Career Diversity for Historians initiative, funded generously by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. As one of the four pilot sites for the initiative, UCLA Department of History is excited to facilitate conversations and collaborations that embolden emerging historians and amplify the relevance of history.
